Handmade Lava Glaze Sake Cup

A handmade lava glaze sake cup, shaped and fired at Studio Esja in Iceland.

This piece has a dark volcanic surface with a flowing orange glaze that looks almost like molten lava moving over black stone. The texture is raw, deep, and full of small natural details from the firing, making every cup slightly different.

Each sake cup is made by hand, so the size, shape, glaze flow, and surface pattern will vary a little from piece to piece. That is part of what makes them special. No two cups are exactly the same.
