Experience

We begin with simple forms and guide you through hand-building and the wheel. You do not need to draw well or have worked with clay before.

What you make

A handleless cup, a bowl or a dish is a good place to start. We work towards around three to five pieces per person, depending on your pace and chosen forms. The finished number can change during drying and firing.

What to wear

Wear comfortable clothes that can get clay on them. Short nails make shaping easier. Remove rings and bracelets before starting.

Making

Work at the table and take a turn at the wheel with guidance. We share one studio wheel, with hand-building alongside.

Glazing and collection

Return to glaze around ten days later by arrangement, or choose a colour for the studio to apply. Both options are included. We will contact you when your pieces are ready to collect.

Booking

A private session for one to three takes about two hours; a group of four to fifteen takes about three. Choose an available time in the calendar and read the current cancellation and rescheduling terms before you book.
